Ami Paris Names Carlo Mengucci as Global Marketing and Communications Director

Mengucci Joins from Etro Amid a Restructuring in Ami’s Marketing and Communications Departments

Ami Paris has appointed Carlo Mengucci as its new global marketing and communications director, a position that became effective Monday. Mengucci will be based in Paris, the city where Ami was founded in 2011 by Alexandre Mattiussi.

Mattiussi, the creative director of Ami, expressed his enthusiasm about Mengucci’s appointment, stating, “Carlo is a longtime friend who we are delighted to welcome at Ami. We will write a beautiful chapter of the house’s history together, with our shared values.”

In his new role, Mengucci will report both to Mattiussi and to Ami’s chief executive officer, Nicolas Santi-Weil. His responsibilities will encompass overseeing the brand’s marketing, communications, events, talent management, social media operations, and press departments.

Mengucci joins Ami from Etro, where he served as the marketing and communications director since January 2019. His prior experience includes a role as PR director for the Aeffe Group, managing public relations for brands such as Moschino, Alberta Ferretti, and Pollini. He also has previous experience working for Roberto Cavalli and Alberta Ferretti.

The appointment comes amid a reorganization of Ami’s marketing and communications departments, following the departures of Marie Montiglio, the former head of global press in October, and chief marketing officer Samy Cheddadi, who left last summer.
