AMI Toasts Young Talent at Cannes

The Parisian house hosts a celebratory luncheon in honor of Critics’ Week and its rising directors

AMI hosted a luncheon at Fred L’Ecailler, one of Cannes’ enduring seaside staples, in celebration of Le Grand Prix AMI Paris and the filmmakers in competition at this year’s Critics’ Week.

Held in parallel with the Cannes Film Festival, the event underscored the brand’s ongoing support of cinema and emerging talent. Now in its second year as the main partner of Critics’ Week, AMI continues its commitment to first and second-time directors through the Grand Prix AMI Paris.

“AMI supports cinema, creativity, and young talents,” the house said, reaffirming its connection to storytelling and cultural discovery.

Alexandre Mattiussi, founder and creative director of AMI, attended the luncheon alongside CEO Nicolas Santi-Weil and Critics’ Week artistic director Ava Cahen. Also joining the celebration were friends of the house including Leila Bekhti, Céline Sallette, Kasia Smutniak, Clotilde Courau, Stéphane Bak, and Hunter Doohan. Jury member Daniel Kaluuya and the filmmakers in competition rounded out the intimate gathering, bringing together new and established voices for a moment of shared recognition.
