Ambassadors and actors gather for dinners, masterclasses, and screenings
Armani beauty is deepening its presence at the Venice Film Festival, marking its eighth year as the official beauty sponsor with a slate of expanded activations. The 2025 edition carries special weight, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the Giorgio Armani maison.
The brand will take over the Venice Venice Hotel, transforming it into the Giorgio Armani Cinema Club. The space will feature a branded façade and interiors reimagined as a cinema-inspired hub for actors, ambassadors, and influencers. The club will host curated programming, from a masterclass with global makeup artist Hiromi Ueda to an opening-night dinner following Paolo Sorrentino’s La Grazia.
Ambassadors including Cate Blanchett, Sadie Sink, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Nathalie Emmanuel will be joined by guests such as Shailene Woodley, Riley Keough, and Sofia Carson. Armani will also debut behind-the-scenes content filmed in Venice and partner with Variety on its “Movie Night” series, pairing actors like Sink and Molly Gordon for intimate conversations on film and beauty.
The program culminates with a dinner at the Palazzo Ducale on Aug. 15, followed the next night by a fashion soirée at the Arsenale to mark the launch of Armani/Archivio, a digital platform archiving the house’s collections. It is part of a broader anniversary season that also includes an exhibition at Milan’s Pinacoteca di Brera and the spring 2026 runway show in September.
Armani’s ties to cinema stretch back to 1980’s American Gigolo and more than 100 subsequent films. In Venice, Armani beauty also continues to sponsor the Audience Award in the “Spotlight” section for emerging filmmakers, while its “In the Spotlight” activation concept expands globally following stops in Berlin and Shanghai.
“Cinema has always been at the core of our identity,” said Richard Pinabel, global president of Armani beauty.
What we do in Venice is not simply about presence — it is about honoring artistic expression and amplifying the dialogue between beauty and film.
