At.Kollektive introduces its exciting new collaborative vision to the world with a gorgeous campaign that is rife with subtle detail. The campaign features creative direction from Carina Fey and Stefanie Barth and photography by Glen Luchford.
Emphasizing principles of innovation and collaboration, At.Kollektive was initiated by prolific Danish tannery Ecco Leather, who drafted four international designers – Natacha Ramsay-Levi, Kostas Murkudis, Isaac Reina, and Bianca Saunders – to create capsule collections spanning accessories, clothing, and furniture. While Ecco Leather provides material for some of the world’s most well-known fashion houses, this creative exchange is their first consumer-facing output.
The brand’s dreamy debut campaign creates a feeling of easy bliss and nostalgia that belies the detail and ingenuity of the collection. But if we look closer at the clothing and accessories of these figures who lounge in peaceful harmony among southern Californian beaches and flora, there is plenty to see.
As Luchford’s photographs reveal, the design contributors have both honored the properties of their iconic material while finding new ways and shapes to show off its character. Oversized leather jackets look surprisingly soft; handbags are reimagined with an emphasis on functionality and beauty of silhouette; everyday staples that live close to the body are executed with luxurious precision.
At once meeting our high expectations for what such a high-caliber collaboration can do with a classic luxury material while boldly affirming that it still has much to show us – and seeing it all from a lovely and welcoming visual perspective – the campaign is an excellent first step onto the scene from At.Kollektive.
