Former Chief Product Officer Steps Into New Role Amid Leadership Transition
Balenciaga has appointed Nathalie Raynaud as its new deputy chief executive officer. The promotion marks a key leadership move for the Kering-owned brand, as it prepares for a new chapter following changes in both executive and creative leadership.

Raynaud joined Balenciaga in 2021 and most recently served as chief product officer. Her new role will see her report directly to CEO Gianfranco Gianangeli. She steps in following the departure of former deputy CEO Laura du Rusquec, who left in 2023 to lead Ganni.
With a background in merchandising and development at Dior, Louis Vuitton, and Lanvin, Raynaud has helped shape Balenciaga’s recent success in accessories. She played a central role in the launch of styles like the Cagole, Rodeo, and Bel Air bags, as well as the revival of the brand’s signature Le City.
The appointment comes as Balenciaga prepares for its next haute couture show in July, the final collection under Demna before a new creative director takes over. Raynaud’s expanded role suggests the house is doubling down on its product-driven strategy and long-term positioning in the market.
