Balenciaga continues to serve up effortless monochromatic cool with the second part of its Fall 2022 campaign, captured by photographer Nadia Lee Cohen.
With a cast led by Bella Hadid, one of Demna’s latest mega-celebrity muses, who poses with the designer’s new Crush bag and a very Y2K whale tail, Cohen’s simple studio portraiture draws out simultaneous senses of calmness and confrontation. The slightly nostalgic editorial style works well with Demna’s current design pursuit of playful yet cynical exaggeration of bygone dressing staples, while the art direction finishes things off with boldly direct branding.
