Review of Balmain Spring 2024 Ad Campaign Part 2 by Creative Director Olivier Rousteing and Photographer Rafael Pavarotti with Model Gisele Bündchen
Balmain and Gisele Bündchen continue their floral and fabulous partnership with a new chapter of the house’s Spring 2024 campaign, working once again with photographer Rafael Pavarotti.
While the collection draws on the timeless spring motif of flowers – and in particular, roses – the collection and its ensuing campaign are anything but garden variety. Inspired by Pierre Balmain’s gardens, the collection explores the rose’s duality of petals and thorns in numerous inventive ways, taking shape across imaginative structural details and maximal romance for an unabashed ode to the classical power of love.
Pavarotti’s campaign imagery takes shape as timeless elegant portraits of the iconic model. While the campaign’s first installment was shot in color to capture the rosy vibrancy of the collection, the photographer executes this follow-up chapter in black and white, emphasizing the structural elegance of the collection and its balance between fresh softness and poised strength.
Tapping into a timeless spirit of floral romance and atelier elegance, the campaign gives this classic sensibility a fresh focus for the new spring season.
