Review of Banana Republic Summer 2024 Ad Campaign by Creative Director Ben Segal and Photographer Josh Olins with models Taylor Hill, Ibby Sow, Marlon Teixeira, and Melodie Vaxelaire
Banana Republic explores the joy of summer with its new Summer 2024 campaign, which features creative direction by Ben Segal and photography by Josh Olins.
The campaign an adventurous travel embodied by model Taylor Hill as she explores the vibrant city of Mérida, Mexico and the natural beauty that surrounds it. From historic architecture along tree-lined streets to majestic beaches, the location is the perfect setting for the encounters with friends and lovers along a journey of self-discovery.
The campaign is a natural extension of Banana Republic’s campaign practice centered on the thrill of travel and the grounded, flexible style with which the brand dresses it. With this campaign, however, the spirit feels more organic and real than the somewhat fantastical vision we sometimes have seen from the brand previously. It’s a nice balance that forms an inviting ode to summer exploration.
