Autumn-Winter Collection Blends Barbour Heritage with Noah’s Urban Aesthetic
British brand Barbour and New York-based label Noah have unveiled their fifth collaborative collection, introducing three jacket styles for the autumn-winter season. The new lineup draws on Barbour’s archival designs from the 1980s, reimagined with contemporary fabrications, including wool and cotton. This collection merges classic workwear and tailoring elements, adding a fresh layer to Barbour’s heritage pieces.
At the heart of the collection is the Barbour X Noah Wool Bedale Jacket, a unisex style that revisits Barbour’s 1980 classic. Crafted in Casentino wool, a centuries-old textile known for its distinctive fuzzy texture, the jacket provides a new twist on a Barbour staple. Available in Black, Dark Green, and Tangerine, the Wool Bedale Jacket is paired with the Barbour X Noah Border Jacket, a longer-length style with Donegal Tweed wool sourced from Ireland’s Magee mills, specially woven for Noah. This black tweed features subtle flecks of color, a nod to Noah’s New York street style.
Rounding out the collection is the Barbour X Noah Cotton Bedale, an updated take on the original Bedale jacket. Made from cotton canvas and salt-washed to give a weathered appearance, it comes in Black, Pomegranate, and Green. Noah’s founder, Brendon Babenzien, described the collection: “For this season’s Barbour collaboration, we stuck to the classic jacket shapes we’ve always loved from them. We used some of our favorite fabrics like Casentino Wool, Donegal Wool, and Cotton Canvas that feel right for the season. We always aim for materials that are tough and built to last.”
Ian Bergin, Barbour’s Director of Menswear, noted, “A fifth-year collaboration with Noah is fantastic, and this AW24 collection really feels like an evolution of our previous collaborations, which have been received well by both audiences. We’re excited to be launching the next iteration of this collab; Brendon’s interpretation of Barbour always feels creative and innovative, while respectfully nodding to our roots – it’s this which makes the partnership such a natural fit.”
