Bastien Daguzan has announced his departure from the role of president at Jacquemus, marking the end of a significant period of growth and innovation for the brand. His tenure, though less than two years, was marked by remarkable achievements and milestones that have shaped the trajectory of the 14-year-old designer label.

Simon Porte Jacquemus, the brand’s founder, owner, and creative director, expressed his gratitude for Daguzan’s impactful leadership. “Bastien has been a driving force behind the business and its leadership. We wish him well in his new endeavor,” he stated, acknowledging the pivotal role Daguzan played in the brand’s development.

Daguzan’s association with Jacquemus began as a consultant while he was serving as the general manager of Paco Rabanne fashion. In May 2022, he fully committed to Jacquemus, just as the brand was experiencing a steep growth trajectory. Under his guidance, Jacquemus’s sales more than doubled in 2021, surpassing 100 million euros, with a remarkable 30 percent of that being profit.

Jacquemus’s success under Daguzan’s stewardship was recognized with the WWD Honor for Best-Performing Fashion Company, Small Cap. Daguzan had ambitious plans for the brand, projecting to double sales again in 2022 and aiming for a 500 million euro target by 2025.

The brand’s growth spanned across various lines, including accessories and ready-to-wear, available through its e-commerce platform, wholesale accounts, and a flagship store on Avenue Montaigne in Paris. Jacquemus has become a fashion powerhouse, employing 300 people and leveraging the designer’s knack for connecting with customers through social media. The brand’s official Instagram account boasts 6.2 million followers, a testament to its digital engagement strategy.

Reflecting on his time at Jacquemus, Daguzan said, “I would like to thank Simon for his trust and the incredible journey we have been on together with the team. He has always been an immense source of inspiration; I am so proud to have been a part of this adventure.”

Daguzan’s departure marks the end of a defining chapter for Jacquemus, characterized by rapid growth, digital innovation, and a strong connection with its audience. His influence on the brand will undoubtedly be felt for years to come, as Jacquemus continues to evolve and captivate the fashion world.
