The House Held an Inaugural Series of Events Celebrating Cultural Exchange at Its Newly Created Gathering Space in Dubai

Bottega Veneta hosted a series of events exploring and celebrating cultural exchange from a newly created custom space in Dubai. Dubbed “The Square” and inspired by the Arabic term “majlis,” which symbolizes gathering and coexistence, the space hosted three nights of gathering on April 12, 13, and 14.

Featuring the house’s signature green and resembling a contemporary version of a conversation pit, the space was designed by Lebanese architect Carl Gerges. Across the three evenings, Bottega Veneta hosted events featuring a film screening, storytelling, musical performances, poetry, and cuisine within this space.

The events featured presentations from Lebanese architect and musician Carl Gerges, Yemeni visual storyteller Shaima Al Tamimi, Sudanese-British poet Asma Al Badawi, Canadian poet and composer Mustafa The Poet, and Lebanese singer, composer, and music publisher Samer Doumet.

Following the success of the initial opening, Bottega Veneta is set to host further “The Square” events in Tokyo, San Francisco, Shanghai, and Sao Paulo.
