Bottega Veneta Unveils Winter 2024 Fanzine

The Latest Installment of the House’s Ongoing Print Project Spotlights Creativity and Craft in a Gorgeous Physical Format

Bottega Veneta has released the fifth edition of its limited-edition fanzine, timed with the launch of the Winter 24 collection by creative director Matthieu Blazy. This free publication, available globally in Bottega Veneta stores, offers an intimate look into the creative world behind the collection, showcasing a fusion of fashion, art, and craftsmanship. Blazy’s commitment to artistic collaboration takes center stage, highlighting the intersections between his design work and various artistic disciplines.

One of the standout features of this edition is the closeup look at the recent campaign imagery, captured by renowned photographer Alec Soth, a frequent Bottega Veneta collaborator. The photos, set against the striking backdrops of Utah and Nevada, are accompanied by behind-the-scenes glimpses of the shoot. Other highlights include a retrospective of Bottega Veneta’s “On the Rocks” installation from Milan Design Week, created in collaboration with Cassina and Fondation Le Corbusier. This installation reimagines Le Corbusier’s LC14 Tabouret Cabanon with Bottega Veneta’s signature Intrecciato technique, blending historical design with modern interpretation.

Blazy’s vision extends beyond fashion, inviting contributions from visual artists to explore the Winter 24 collection’s themes. Lithuanian-born photographer Vytautas Kumza adds a playful photo series centered around key garments, while Detroit-based artist Judy Bowman incorporates Bottega Veneta’s fabrics into her collage work, reflecting on her childhood in Detroit’s Eastside and Black Bottom neighborhoods. Both artists bring fresh perspectives to the collection, enriching the visual storytelling of the brand.

As a physical representation of Bottega Veneta’s creative ethos, the fanzine is carefully packaged in a pull-drawer slipcase, echoing the charred-wood flooring from the Winter 24 show. Readers will also find exclusive postcards featuring atmospheric landscapes from the Utah and Nevada shoot, along with an embroidered patch that nods to the region’s extraterrestrial folklore.
