Exclusive Merchandise Drop Launches Nov. 1 with Pre-Game Event at Barclays Center
The Brooklyn Nets and Brooklyn-based brand KidSuper are set to launch a new merchandise collection under the team’s private label, bǝrō, inspired by Brooklyn’s distinct cultural identity and KidSuper’s signature artistic style. This latest collaboration merges sports and high fashion, highlighting the borough’s creativity through a vibrant campaign featuring local figures, including Nets players Nic Claxton and Jalen Wilson, Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso, musician Laila! (daughter of Brooklyn rapper Mos Def), and KidSuper founder Colm Dillane.
The collection brings bold, Brooklyn-centric designs to the Nets’ private label, with varsity jackets, knitwear, zip-ups, t-shirts, and accessories showcasing splashes of color alongside the Nets’ signature black and white. “The Brooklyn Nets have been intentional in our approach to retail and apparel, and our latest collaboration, a bǝrō collection with KidSuper – a brand who shares our deep passion for sports, culture, and the power of community – highlights our dedication to incorporating authentic Brooklyn elements into everything we do,” said Andrew Karson, Executive Vice President of Marketing at BSE Global.
Dillane, a celebrated artist and designer awarded the Karl Lagerfeld Prize by LVMH in 2021, expressed excitement about the collaboration, noting, “Brooklyn represents the diversity of ideas, creating connections, meeting new people, and the sense that all things are possible. I want KidSuper and our collection with the Brooklyn Nets to embody that energy.” Dillane’s journey with KidSuper began just blocks from the Barclays Center, making this partnership a personal milestone.
The collection launches on Nov. 1 at noon, available online and at the Brooklyn Nets team store, the Barclays Center’s bǝrō store, and KidSuper’s Williamsburg location. To mark the occasion, the Nets will host Dillane at the Nov. 1 game against the Chicago Bulls, where he’ll co-host the event and feature in a new code of conduct video. Before tipoff, fans can join a free pregame event from noon to 4 p.m. on the Barclays Center plaza, featuring games, custom KidSuper x Nets beverages, and a chance to win items from the collection.
