Brunello Cucinelli Premieres Documentary at Lincoln Center Gala

The documentary explores the life and philosophy of the Italian designer

Brunello Cucinelli brought his world of “gentle luxury” to New York with a gala screening at Lincoln Center, celebrating the debut of Brunello: The Gracious Visionary, a documentary tracing the life and philosophy of the Italian designer and entrepreneur.

Held on April 14 at the David H. Koch Theater, the evening centered on the film directed by Academy Award winner Giuseppe Tornatore, with a score by fellow Oscar winner Nicola Piovani. The documentary offers an intimate portrait of Cucinelli’s journey—from his upbringing in Solomeo to the global expansion of his namesake brand—framed through his enduring commitment to humanistic capitalism and craftsmanship.

Following the screening, Cucinelli hosted a private dinner for guests, bringing together longtime supporters of the house alongside figures from film, fashion, media, and culture. Attendees included Oscar Isaac, Naomi Watts, Katie Holmes, Joshua Jackson, Martha Stewart, Ryan Seacrest, Shonda Rhimes, Christie Brinkley, Helena Christensen, and Bianca Balti, among others—all dressed in Brunello Cucinelli.

Members of the Cucinelli family and leadership team were also present, including Carolina and Camilla Cucinelli, along with CEO Riccardo Stefanelli, reinforcing the brand’s close-knit structure and generational continuity. Cast members from the film, including Saul Nanni and Francesco Cannavale, joined the designer for the occasion.

The event reflects Brunello Cucinelli’s broader positioning beyond fashion, emphasizing storytelling, culture, and philosophy as integral parts of the brand’s identity. By staging the premiere within one of New York’s most prestigious cultural institutions, the house underscores its alignment with art and intellectual discourse, while reinforcing its presence in the American market.
