Burberry and The Newt in Somerset Launch British Summer Collaboration

Hot-air balloons, croquet, and countryside experiences mark Summer 2025 partnership

Burberry has partnered with The Newt in Somerset, the award-winning luxury estate, to deliver a shared vision of the British countryside for Summer 2025. The collaboration was introduced with a dinner at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show and emphasizes the brands’ mutual appreciation for craftsmanship, heritage, and nature.

Beginning in early June, visitors to The Newt can experience curated activities and installations that merge the estate’s design language with Burberry’s visual identity. A custom Burberry Check — combining the brand’s traditional motif with the estate’s signature green — features across guest experiences, including golf buggies and the croquet lawn, where the pattern is mown into the grass.

Guests can also view the estate from above via a Burberry Check hot-air balloon. The feature references Burberry’s history of outfitting early aviators and balloonists; in one noted example, Air Commodore Edward Maitland traveled 1,117 miles by balloon wearing Burberry gabardine.

Throughout the summer, branded elements and installations will appear across the property, including a badminton court outfitted with a Burberry net and custom racquets. These experiences aim to reinterpret countryside leisure through the lens of Burberry’s heritage.

A dedicated boutique on the grounds will offer items from the Summer 2025 collection, including Burberry Check swimwear, outerwear, hats, scarves, and umbrellas — apparel designed to suit the unpredictable British weather.
