Son Suk-ku Named Burberry Brand Ambassador

South Korean actor Son Suk-ku has been appointed as the latest brand ambassador for British luxury brand Burberry. Son expressed his excitement about this new role, stating, “I have long admired Burberry, so it’s a big honor to become Burberry’s ambassador. I look forward to my future journey with Burberry.”

Known for his diverse roles across different genres, Son has appeared in various productions over the past decade. Global audiences may recognize him from the second season of the Netflix series “Sense8”, where he starred alongside South Korean actress Doona Bae. In 2021, he was featured in the popular Netflix military action series “Deserter Pursuit.”

In recognition of his talent, Son received the Best New Actor award for his performance in the crime action film “The Roundup” in 2022. This film was the highest-grossing film in South Korea that year. Additionally, he gained critical acclaim for his role in the drama series “My Liberation Notes.”

Burberry praised Son’s embodiment of the brand’s spirit and welcomed him to their community of brand ambassadors, which includes esteemed figures like Chinese actress Tang Wei and South Korean actress Jun Ji-Hyun. The actor’s past aspirations were revealed as he initially aimed to become a documentary director and pursued studies in film and art at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago before transitioning to a successful acting career.
