Ahead of the Euro 2024 Championship, the New Campaign Features Star Footballers Phil Foden and Aberechi Eze
In anticipation of the 2024 UEFA European Football Championship that begins this week and runs through mid-July, Burberry has launched a soccer-themed series featuring players Phil Foden and Eberechi Eze, who are showcased wearing the brand’s attire. Through the campaign, each player shares their personal connection to the sport.
“Fashion is important to me and I’m so excited to be a part of this moment with Burberry. It was amazing to be able to shoot in my hometown of Stockport and to work with this iconic British brand,” said Foden, a midfielder for Manchester City.
The campaign’s imagery and videos were captured by photographer and videographer Jack Day.
Eberechi Eze also shared his deep ties to soccer in the campaign video, reflecting on its significance in his life. “For me, my family and my loved ones, [we] grew up going to football, watching football — it’s something that’s been embedded from a young age. There is an element of being on the pitch that I can’t explain,” he said. Eze further expressed the unique emotional connection the sport fosters, regardless of background. “There’s nowhere else I really experienced that type of feeling. That’s a beautiful thing about football, it doesn’t matter where you’re from, it doesn’t matter who’s next to you, you’re going to celebrate with them, it’s a deep connection,” he added.
