Review of Calvin Klein Fall 2024 Part Three Ad Campaign by Photographer & Director Mert Alas with models Kendall Jenner
Calvin Klein continues its celebration of uplifting individualism with the latest chapter in its unfolding Fall 2024 campaign, reuniting with model Kendall Jenner and photographer and director Mert Alas.
The imagery continues the theme of finding an individual personality in conversation with their wardrobe and a distinct location, this time using these elements to create a sense of tension and contrast. The narrative finds Kendall on the beach, yet her wardrobe is squarely urban: she wears a sharply tailored suit, a classic black slip dress, and an overcoat on top of a lacy underwear set.
Once again tapping into a feeling of freedom supported by a strong soundtrack choice of a classic tune, the accompanying short film sets her at turns playful and seductive beachside frolicking to the Animals’ cover of “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood.”
Continuing the format first established in the spring and now picked up again in the fall, each weekly chapter of the campaign wisely builds on the last while forming a distinct window into a new personality. It’s a brilliantly strategic combination of rapid release cycle and bite-sized visual vignettes that puts Calvin Klein at the forefront of the moment’s digital narrative.
