Review of Calvin Klein Spring 2025 Ad Campaign by Photographer Charlotte Wales with models Lily Collins
Lily Collins may be best known as the titular heroine of Emily in Paris, but for the latest from Calvin Klein, she’s giving uptown New York chic. The Spring 2025 campaign was lensed by photographer Charlotte Wales.
The campaign extends the brand’s signature visual approach of refined, subtly sensual minimalism while threading in a narrative of constant self-discovery and a celebration of the way it feels to wear something. A pair of social media videos, one centered on the privacy of the personal wardrobe, and the other on a public sartorial encounter, channel a spirit of playful self-invention as Collins explores her personality for the day by trying on a myriad of looks.
The accompanying still photographs similarly explore the intimacy of the wardrobe, while another short film offers a behind-the-scenes peek at the campaign’s creative process, further drawing on the personality of its star.
This season is shaping up to see another smart approach from Calvin Klein to multifaceted celebrity partnerships and high-velocity digital cadence. After a 90s-inspired, NewJeans-fronted campaign just a couple weeks ago, the brand again expands its palette with celebratory New York sophistication, staying at the forefront of the social-media conversation.
