Camper And Sunnei Collaborate on Forone Shoe

Innovative One-Shoe Concept Challenges Traditional Footwear Norms

The first collaboration between Camper and SUNNEI introduces the FORONE, a unique single-shoe concept designed to be worn on either foot. Sold as a single, symmetrical shoe, the FORONE allows wearers to customize their pairs with five available colorways: red, beige, green, blue, and mustard.

Defined by attributes like disruptiveness, provocation, and interactivity, this collaboration between Camper and SUNNEI is set to unfold in three stages as a long-term project. The FORONE’s laced design enables wearers to mix and match their shoes, creating up to 10 different color combinations. “Due piedi in una scarpa” (Two feet in one shoe), an Italian saying, inspired the FORONE campaign. The campaign images, shot by Tarek Cassim, capture the ironic spirit of both brands while reinforcing the one-shoe concept.

At the SUNNEI FW24 show in February 2024, models hinted at the collaboration with shoes hidden under colorful dust bags labeled “SUNNEI CAMPER, JUNE 2024.” The FORONE will officially launch on June 18, 2024, and will be available through both SUNNEI and Camper’s online and offline channels, including select Camper flagship stores. These stores will feature special installations to enhance the customer experience. The launch will be celebrated with an event in Milan during Men’s Fashion Week in June 2024.

The collaboration began at Camper’s headquarters in Mallorca, Spain, where SUNNEI’s creative team explored Camper’s archives. They discovered the TRINS concept from Camper’s Spring/Summer 1996 collection, which included three different colored shoes that could be worn on either foot. This concept has evolved into FORONE, featuring new design elements. The FORONE is designed for durability with a vulcanized rubber outsole stitched 360° to a breathable 100% recycled cotton upper. The memory foam footbed provides superior comfort and adapts to the anatomy of the foot, making it suitable for either foot.
