The new store will showcase the full Carolina Herrera universe, including ready-to-wear and accessories
Carolina Herrera has announced the opening of a new boutique in La Jolla, San Diego, set to debut on March 2, 2026. Located at Westfield UTC, the nearly 3,000-square-foot store will present the full world of Carolina Herrera, including ready-to-wear, handbags, eveningwear, beauty, fragrance, accessories, and eyewear.

The opening also marks the West Coast debut of the brand’s Spring/Summer 2026 runway collection, alongside the introduction of a new handbag line.
“Creating a Southern California outpost for the House of Herrera is a strategic milestone for us,” said Emilie Rubinfeld, president of Carolina Herrera. “As part of our brand and business ambition, we are building our retail presence throughout the U.S., and the opening of the La Jolla boutique represents a key achievement in this chapter of our evolution. Today and every day, our focus is the client experience while providing the best-in-class store environment to enjoy our collections. We look forward to getting to know our new San Diego and La Jolla community and establishing a lasting presence celebrating the intersection of sunshine, optimism and hospitality.”
The store concept, envisioned by creative director Wes Gordon in collaboration with architectural firm MAOarch, reflects the brand’s signature aesthetic of joy, optimism, and warmth. The design incorporates curvilinear lines, soft pink hues accented with touches of red, rich textures, and bold hexagonal tilework.

Interior elements include pink Venetian plaster walls flecked with mica, pink marble and limestone hexagonal-patterned floors, and custom travertine fixtures. The space is further softened by upholstered seating and illuminated by a handcrafted Murano crystal chandelier positioned at the store’s entrance. Elegantly appointed fitting rooms offer a private and comfortable environment for clients to experience the collections.
“Our collections are designed to celebrate confidence and joy, and that spirit feels very at home in Southern California,” said Gordon. “There is a natural effortlessness to style here.”
To mark the opening, Carolina Herrera will collaborate with La Jolla-based surfboard artist Tim Bessell of Bessell Surfboards to create a one-of-a-kind surfboard designed in partnership with Gordon. The piece incorporates the house’s signature design codes and serves as a tribute to La Jolla’s coastal heritage and local surfing culture.
