Collaboration Marks Second Creative Partnership on Lake Como
CDLP has announced a new capsule collection in collaboration with Passalacqua, a boutique hotel located on the shores of Lake Como. The collection is designed to reflect the ambiance and leisure of Italian summer living.
Passalacqua, which was named the World’s Best Hotel in 2023, is an 18th-century villa turned hotel. With only 24 rooms and terraced gardens, the property was restored by the De Santis family. This collection marks CDLP’s second partnership with the family, following their 2018 collaboration at Grand Hotel Tremezzo.
The CDLP x Passalacqua capsule includes poolside sets, swimwear, t-shirts, and a silk scarf made in Como. The aesthetic draws from 1930s-era travel mementos like postcards and vintage advertisements. Each item is designed to represent a slower lifestyle, emphasizing comfort and craftsmanship.
Photographed on-site at Passalacqua, the campaign was directed by CDLP co-founder Christian Larson and features stylist Robert Rabensteiner. Rabensteiner, long associated with understated style, appears throughout the shoot in scenes depicting a leisurely day at the villa.
CDLP co-founder Andreas Palm described the collection as “a wardrobe for lingering mornings, unhurried afternoons, and the quiet pleasure of presence.” He praised hotel owner Valentina De Santis for her attention to detail and longstanding friendship. De Santis echoed the sentiment, citing the collaboration as rooted in instinct and shared taste, and noted: “I hope our guests feel the love we poured into it.”
The collection will be sold in limited quantities at Passalacqua, on senseoflake.com, and at cdlp.com beginning May 29, 2025.
