Celine North America Announces New President

The brand tapped Robert Holden, currently president of Miu Miu Americas, for the position.

Celine has confirmed Robert Holden as its new North American president, following Sarah Benady’s departure last March for the chief executive officer position at Jacquemus in Paris. Holden is currently president of Miu Miu, and has been with the Prada-owned brand for four years, during which time it saw immense success both in terms of financial growth and popularity. He was promoted to his current title in December of 2023 after serving as vice president since 2021.

Holden started his fashion career in 2008 as men’s contemporary brand manager, at Saks Fifth Avenue, eventually becoming senior assistant buyer for women’s ready-to-wear in 2012. He held that role for nearly two years before moving to roles at Alexander Wang, Burberry, and Dolce&Gabbana.

He comes to Celine as the brand gears up for a new phase under artistic director Michael Rider. He’ll make his debut with a fashion show in Paris on July 6th, marking its return to in-person runway shows, pivoting from Hedi Slimane’s use of off-schedule immersive films to show collections during his tenure as artistic, creative and image director. Holden’s appointment may signify a growing, more cohesive shift in brand messaging and identity.
