Review of Celine ‘Nightclubbing’ Spring 2022 Ad Campaign by Creative Director Hedi Slimane with model Sara Grace Wallerstedt
Celine shares a new campaign, simply titled “Nightclubbing,” for Spring 2022. The campaign as always was photographed by the maison’s creative director, Hedi Slimane.
With his typical understated photographic approach, Slimane captures model Sara Grace Wallerstadt in a range of effortless Parisian cool-girl staples that are ready for a chill night on the town or in the club. Into the mix are introduced several new handbags realized in faux fur and metallics.
With cohesive and cool styling seen through a simple black-and-white lens, the campaign doesn’t chart any new conceptual territory for Celine’s tried-and-true marketing approach, but it is a good way to introduce and incorporate the new bags into its signature aesthetic.
