CFDA Announces Preliminary Schedule for NYFW Fall 2025

This February’s NYFW Includes Returning Names and Notable Absences

The Council of Fashion Designers of America has unveiled the preliminary schedule for New York Fashion Week’s Fall 2025 season. The week will commence with Brandon Maxwell opening the American collections on Thursday, February 6, and conclude with CFDA Chairman Thom Browne’s showcase on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.

The schedule lists over 54 runway shows and designer presentations, with additional collections to be showcased digitally and by appointment. Notable returning brands include Carolina Herrera, Coach, Michael Kors, and Tory Burch among others. This season will also see Altuzarra and Calvin Klein Collection, now under the creative direction of Veronica Leoni, making a return to the New York runway.

Several other brands are also making a return to NYFW after not showing last season, including Christopher John Rogers, Theory, Fforme, Lapointe, and Norma Kamali. Also returning are Anna Sui, Eckhaus Latta, Campillo, Collina Strada, Diotima, Elena Velez, Khaite, LaQuan Smith, Luar, Monse, Prabal Gurung, Sandy Liang, and more.

The schedule introduces several first-time participants, including Alexis Bittar, Gabe Gordon, and LEBLANCSTUDIOS by Yamil Arbaje and Angelo Beato. Concurrently, a special event hosted by GQ will occur at the GQ Bowl in New Orleans, where Emily Adams Bode Aujla will introduce the 2025 BODE REC collection during a livestream red carpet affair.

Notably, Marc Jacobs, though he is not part of the official NYFW schedule, will be presenting his runway collection on February 3 at 7:30 p.m. Meanwhile, several major designers including Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Proenza Schouler, and Jason Wu will not feature on the official February schedule.

Joseph Maglieri, CFDA’s Director of Fashion Week Initiatives, emphasized the importance of NYFW as a platform for designers. “NYFW serves as the premier opportunity for designers and brands to tell their story and share their work in the ways that speak to their communities and business needs. This upcoming season represents themes we see across the industry: calibration and innovation,” Maglieri stated.
