The 2024 Artist Awards Program Celebrate Innovative Artists and Filmmakers
Chanel and the Tribeca Festival are teaming up once again for the 2024 Artist Awards program, now in its 19th year. The program aims to celebrate the connection between different art forms, with Chanel’s support allowing each selected artist to gift a piece for the exhibition. Curated by Racquel Chevremont, artists involved in the program include Deborah Kass, Erick & Elliot Jiménez, Glenn Ligon, Jenny Holzer, Joiri Minaya, José Parlá, Juliana Huxtable, Maia Cruz Palileo, Paul Anthony Smith, and Tourmaline.

The collection of artwork will be showcased at the Tribeca Festival Hub at Spring Studios throughout the event. José Parlá praised the festival for its revitalizing impact on art, culture, and storytelling, emphasizing the giving nature of creativity.
Additionally, Chanel announced a panel titled “Championing the Next Generation” as part of its “Through Her Lens” program, which supports female and non-binary filmmakers. The 2024 Tribeca Festival will run from June 5 to June 16 and will kick off with the opening night film, “Diane von Furstenberg: Woman in Charge,” directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy and Trish Dalton.
