Model Ida Heiner stars in a cinematic preview filmed at the historic Villa d’Este on Lake Como
In anticipation of the Chanel Cruise 2025/26 show, filmmaker and longtime collaborator Sofia Coppola has created a short film starring model Ida Heiner. Set at the historic Villa d’Este on the shores of Lake Como, the film serves as a visual introduction to the upcoming collection.
Heiner appears wearing high-waisted shorts, a swimsuit, and accessories from the Cruise 2025/26 line as she moves through the Renaissance palace’s marble staircases, ochre-toned terraces, and lake-facing rooms. Framed through Coppola’s cinematic lens, the hotel becomes a timeless backdrop that evokes a sense of escapism and self-reinvention.
The Villa d’Este, widely regarded as a living piece of history, offers a fitting stage for the Chanel presentation. The film, designed as a prelude to the Cruise show, captures the atmosphere of leisure and fantasy that the collection seeks to embody.
The full film of the Cruise 2025/26 show will premiere on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at 2 p.m. Paris time on chanel.com.
