Chanel Unveils Camélia Futura Makeup Collection

A Modern Ode to Gabrielle Chanel’s Favorite Flower

Chanel’s Camélia Futura Makeup Collection pushes the boundaries of beauty, offering a fresh interpretation of the house’s iconic camellia. Designed by Chanel’s Makeup Creation Studio in collaboration with Cécile Paravina of the Comètes Collective, the collection takes inspiration from the flower’s elegant symmetry and unexpected resilience. The result is a striking contrast between romantic softness and futuristic precision, a theme that plays out across textures, colors, and finishes.

“There is something very soft and gentle about the camellia’s aesthetic… which is particularly surprising when you know that it is actually a very hardy plant that adapts and manages to flower even in extreme conditions,” explains Cécile Paravina, Chanel’s Global Creative Makeup Partner. This balance of delicate beauty and quiet strength serves as the foundation for Camélia Futura, a collection where ethereal pastels meet bold metallics, and classic forms are reimagined through a contemporary lens.

At the core of the lineup is Camélia Futura Création Exclusive, a blush trio embossed with hand-sewn camellias, shifting from soft pink to warm apricot for a subtle, light-catching glow. Paired with Fluide Enlumineur, a pink highlighter laced with green shimmer, the complexion takes on an almost surreal radiance.

For the eyes, Les 4 Ombres Utopia delivers pearl-infused pigments that catch the light with an otherworldly effect, while Stylo Ombre et Contour introduces four shades that span deep mattes, iridescent shimmers, and unconventional hues, channeling Paravina’s futuristic aesthetic.

The collection’s lip offerings lean into high-shine innovation, with Rouge Coco Flash appearing in a golden-peach and a lilac-blue pink, both adding a luminous finish. Meanwhile, Rouge Allure Laque reinvents the traditional lip look with a deep rosy peach and a bold metallic hot pink, both featuring a dynamic, color-shifting effect.

Rounding out the collection, Le Vernis introduces two shimmering nail shades—a glittering mauve gray and a sheer pink with pearlescent accents, reinforcing the collection’s balance of nostalgia and modernity.

With Camélia Futura, Chanel presents a collection that feels as much about artistic expression as it does about beauty. There’s a playfulness here, a willingness to experiment, while still staying grounded in the craftsmanship that has long defined the house. The result? A makeup collection that feels like a glimpse into the future—one where romance, innovation, and individuality exist in perfect harmony.
