Chanel’s Leena Nair and Lisa Eldridge Recognized in King’s 2025 New Year Honors

Chanel’s global chief executive officer Leena Nair and renowned makeup artist Lisa Eldridge have been recognized in King Charles III’s 2025 New Year Honors list, celebrating achievements across retail, beauty, and fashion.

Leena Nair was awarded the Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for her contributions to the retail and consumer sector. Since joining Chanel in 2022, Nair has led the luxury house’s global strategy, emphasizing sustainability and innovation.

Eldridge, celebrated for her artistry and role as Lancôme’s global creative director, received the Order of the Companions of Honour (CH) for her impact on British fashion and beauty. Reflecting on the recognition, Eldridge shared, “To have my work honored in this way means more to me than I can put into words. I’m so grateful to my friends, family, clients, and community for their continued support.”

Other Industry Honorees

Marks & Spencer’s managing director Richard Price, Supreme Creations’s CEO Smruti Sriram, and Glenisla’s managing director John Culbert were also awarded the CH distinction for their contributions to British retail and production.

Entertainment and Arts Recognitions

Prominent actors Carey Mulligan, Sarah Lancashire, and Stephen Fry were honored, with Fry receiving a knighthood for his advocacy in mental health awareness, environmental causes, and charity work. Ever the humorist, Fry joked on Instagram, “I shall expect a great deal more deference from you now — but don’t be fooled by the title, I still pick my nose.”
