Review of Chloé Spring 2025 Ad Campaign by Photographer David Sims with model Rianne Van Rompaey
Chloé indulges in sunshine with its intimate and luminous Spring 2025 campaign by photographer David Sims.
While Chemena Kamali’s first campaigns for Chloé drew on the timeless metropolitan charm of Paris or opted for minimalist, in-studio elegance, this latest chapter shifts to an atmosphere of quietly intimate domestic bliss. Model Rianne Van Rompaey occupies the portico of a stunning modernist villa at some dreamy resort destination, framed by a textural interplay of stucco, thatched roof, and organic forms. At once harmonizing and contrasting with this environment, the lightness and lace of the collection brings a timeless sense of delicately crafted femininity.
Further leaning into the sensual sophistication of the sheer garments, the styling asserts that the state of being undressed is just as luxurious being dressed, as if to say that the goal for this season is to feel the sun on your skin while wearing as little clothing as possible – but when you do have to get dressed, it should be in Chloé. Symbolically extending the aesthetic of embodied bliss, one unique and striking image features a papaya with one half hollowed out and filled with gold jewelry – an utterly palpable emblem of the season’s spirit of celebrating the expression of womanhood by illuminating the body through delicate craft.
Chemena Kamali’s Chloé came onto the scene with an impressively realized creative identity. Through campaigns such as this one, the creative director and her collaborative partners have done great work to follow up that strong start and guide us deeper into the brand’s dreamy new direction.
