The London-Based Continues to Expand With the Introduction of Three Statement Bags
David Koma has announced the launch of its first-ever handbag range. The London-based label led by the eponymous designer debuted three new silhouettes in a range of colors: The DK City Bag, the DK City Mini Bag, and the Apex Bag.
Inspired by the timeless elegance of Queen Elizabeth II’s handbag choices, the DK City Bag and DK City Mini Bag reimagine the classic structured flap shape as a versatile day-to-evening shoulder bag adorned with the DK logo. Made from 100% matte leather, these bags feature an adjustable strap and a magnetic closure. The DK City Bag is available in white, black, red, pink, and cognac, while the Mini City Bag comes in metallic black, metallic green, metallic blue, gold, and silver.
Adding a playful twist, the Apex is a sculptural metallic perspex bag, designed to evoke the shape of a shark’s fin or a rose thorn. With a magnetic closure, it can be worn as a clutch or across the body using a delicate metal chain. The Apex Bag is available in gold, silver, orange, and green.
The announcement represents another exciting strategic expansion for the brand, as the designer is also set to showcase his debut menswear collection in Milan during the Italian fashion capital’s upcoming Men’s Fashion Week.
