Fall 2024 'Til D do us part' Ad Campaign

Review of Diesel Fall 2024 ‘Til D do us part’ Ad Campaign by Creative Director Glenn Martens, Art Director Christopher Simmonds, and Photographer Nick Waplington with model Christine Quinn

Say I do to Diesel: the brand’s latest campaign is a big fat denim wedding. Continuing the ongoing visual collaboration between creative director Glenn Martens and art director Christopher Simmonds, the campaign enlists Nick Waplington as wedding photographer.

Diesel, of course, wouldn’t stage a typical wedding, so it makes sense that the star of this matrimonial bash is no typical bride: it’s Christine Quinn, author, model, actor, and antihero of Selling Sunset. For her Diesel wedding, the real estate mogul wears a stone-washed, blue denim gown trimmed with rosettes around the neckline and shoulders. The bride has mandated a strict dress code: each guest must wear head-to-toe Diesel denim.

Waplington’s playful vignettes follow the delightful chaos of the bridal party as they get ready for the big moment, from getting makeup and nails ready to the final extended family portrait. The accompanying short film is conceived as a grainy home movie, offering a lo-fi and intimate look at the preparations and party.

Diesel never disappoints with their campaigns, always beginning with a fun concept and pushing it audaciously to the maximum. This connubial carousal puts another fun spin on that practice, and we’re only upset that we didn’t get an invite. It’s Diesel and denim ’til death do us part.
