Sam Baron Designs Limited-Edition Glass Vases for Dior at Salone
Dior Maison is debuting three large-scale glass vases by designer Sam Baron during Milan’s Salone del Mobile, taking place April 8 to 13, 2025. Introduced as part of the brand’s ongoing Ode à la Nature collection, each piece stands nearly one meter tall and is a celebration of nature, craftsmanship, and Dior’s heritage.
Handmade using traditional Italian mouth-blown glass techniques, the vases represent a collaborative feat of artistry and design. Each work incorporates botanical motifs—branches, flowers, and fine foliage—that wrap delicately around the vessel, evoking a dreamlike garden in motion. The pieces reflect the natural rhythms of life and the seasons, transitioning from quiet beginnings to fully blossomed grandeur.
The base of each vase is designed as a pedestal, while the body references the soft, rounded silhouette of Dior’s iconic 1947 Miss Dior amphora bottle—a nod to the House’s couture legacy. Finished with a refined striated texture, the glass surfaces catch and reflect light in ways that amplify their sculptural presence.
Produced in a limited edition of eight per style, the number serves as a tribute to Christian Dior’s famed lucky number, adding another layer of symbolic meaning to the series. Dior positions the works not only as objects of beauty but as expressions of savoir-faire and artistic dialogue.
