The publication offers a surreal perspective on the maison’s creations across decades
Dior is releasing a new book of photographs, Dior by Yuriko Takagi, celebrating the house’s legacy through the lens of one of Japan’s most influential photographers. Published by Rizzoli and available in September 2025, the volume presents a surreal interpretation of Dior’s haute couture creations and toiles, emphasizing the movement and life within the garments.

Takagi focuses on the toiles—what Olivier Saillard calls the “Outlines of the Dress”—approaching them as both poetic and archaeological artifacts. Her imagery blurs clarity with dreamlike haziness, breathing motion into the silhouettes designed by Christian Dior and his successors. Flowers, a recurring theme across the brand’s history, also figure prominently in the compositions, underscoring Takagi’s deep admiration for them.
In this body of work, Dior’s creations become protagonists in a ballet of form and light, bridging Takagi’s signature style with the house’s heritage. The result is a visual dialogue that interprets Dior’s legacy not only as fashion but as a timeless artistic language.
