Dior Reveals LACMA as Venue for Jonathan Anderson’s Cruise Debut

The show will take place against Peter Zumthor’s new David Geffen Galleries

Dior has confirmed the venue for Jonathan Anderson’s debut cruise collection, set to take place on May 13 in Los Angeles.

The show will be staged at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, positioned against the newly unveiled David Geffen Galleries designed by Swiss architect Peter Zumthor. The building, marking Zumthor’s first project in the United States, is scheduled to open on April 19 with a preview period for members before welcoming the public in early May.

The choice of LACMA underscores Dior’s ongoing alignment with architecture, culture, and the arts, while reinforcing its long-standing relationship with Los Angeles. The house has maintained close ties to Hollywood, regularly dressing prominent figures for major red carpet moments, including Academy Award wins by Jennifer Lawrence, Mikey Madison, and Michelle Yeoh.

The show also reflects a broader industry shift, as luxury brands increasingly look to the U.S. market as a source of growth following a slowdown in global sales. Dior’s presentation will take place within a concentrated schedule of cruise events in the country, with Gucci and Louis Vuitton set to unveil their own cruise 2027 collections in New York later in May.

Dior’s return to Los Angeles follows the recent opening of its Rodeo Drive flagship, further reinforcing its investment in the region as both a cultural and commercial hub.
