Review of DKNY “I Feel New York” Spring 2023 Ad Campaign by Creative Directors Daniel Packar and Roi Elfassy and BIG and Partners with Photographer Dan Martensen with Talent Devon Lee Carlson, Annahstasia Enuke, and Cameron Porras
A lot can happen in a New York minute, as DKNY reminds us in its latest campaign. The brand’s Spring 2023 outing features creative direction from Daniel Packar and Roi Elfassy, BIG and Partners, with photography by Dan Martensen.
The campaign captures an eclectic cross-section of young New Yorkers – with the cast including model and influencer Devon Lee Carlson, artist and musician Annahstasia Enuke, and TikTok star Cameron Porras – against the buzzing and dynamic energy of the city’s iconic streets, as well as some of its less-seen locales.
It’s refreshing to see a campaign that’s “a love letter to New York City” that doesn’t just focus on Manhattan, the Brooklyn Bridge, Radio City Music Hall, and getting stylishly out of a taxi. These are all there, but we also see the streets of Queens, pizza joints, community basketball courts, local barbershops.
These moments make the tagline “I Feel New York” more real and impactful; it might be a bit vague, but it’s catchy and memorable, and above all universal in its possibility to appeal to a widely diverse range of people.
