Dolce&Gabbana has opened the doors to its newest boutique in New York City, marking a fresh chapter for the Italian House in the heart of Manhattan. Located at 695 Madison Avenue, the five-level space brings together architectural grandeur and modern refinement, seamlessly blending tradition and innovation.
The boutique is the result of an ongoing collaboration with American architect Eric Carlson and his Paris-based architecture studio, Carbondale. “Solidity and lightness, stability and dynamism: this unique project stems from the renewed collaboration with American architect Eric Carlson and his award-winning Paris-based architecture studio, Carbondale, whose philosophy pursues excellence in materials, details, and craftsmanship,” the House stated.
From the street, the boutique’s vertical façades and dramatic double-height windows lead the eye to a luminous glass penthouse. This sense of architectural transparency “elevates the Collections like an imperceptible frame, inviting guests to step inside and explore the world of Dolce&Gabbana.”
Inside, a sweeping circular staircase in polished black granite anchors the space, spiraling upward through five levels beneath a skylight that casts light and shadow throughout. The open plan, combined with outward-facing walls, offers visitors a continuous connection to the city’s energy and skyline. “The open, linear spaces convey a sense of brightness and spaciousness, while the open walls facing outward allow the city’s vibrant energy to flow in, offering an unforgettable view of the Avenue.”
The boutique’s interiors are defined by high-contrast elegance: Absolute Black granite paired with white acid-etched sapphire glass evokes the feeling of a timeless photograph. Eucalyptus wood display cases, steel furnishings, and accents in bouclé and black velvet add layers of texture and warmth. “The color palette plays with contrasts… creating a harmonious and elegant atmosphere.”
Beyond ready-to-wear for men and women, the store houses accessories, fine jewelry and watches, a curated selection of pieces from the Dolce&Gabbana Casa Collection, and a dedicated space for Made to Measure tailoring services on the second floor. Completing the experience is a full range from the Beauty line, including the coveted Velvet Collection. “For a shopping experience centered on personalization, the special Made to Measure service of Dolce&Gabbana Sartoria is available on the second floor… for a unique sensory journey through the Dolce&Gabbana codes.”
