DVF Launches Vintage Initiative with Archival Collection and Buy-Back Program

Timed To A New York Pop-Up And Online Debut, The Program Celebrates Diane Von Furstenberg’s Legacy While Promoting Circular Fashion

Diane von Furstenberg has launched DVF Vintage, a new initiative spotlighting the house’s five-decade legacy through a curated selection of archival pieces and a customer-facing buy-back program. The initiative is available both online and through a dedicated pop-up experience at the DVF Flagship Boutique in New York’s Meatpacking District, running from October 20 through November 30.

Positioned as both a tribute to the brand’s history and a step toward a more circular business model, DVF Vintage offers customers the opportunity to purchase original archival designs while also consigning their own pre-worn DVF pieces in exchange for store credit.

“I always wanted to design timeless dresses but I didn’t know how timeless they would become,” said Diane von Furstenberg. “The essence of timelessness is in dresses that last forever, and to have a great vintage piece is a jewel that lasts forever in your closet.”

The launch features vintage styles sourced from von Furstenberg’s personal archives as well as from the broader DVF community, with each garment reflecting key moments in the brand’s evolution—from signature prints and silhouettes to era-defining campaigns. In-store, the Meatpacking boutique has been transformed to host a rotating display of vintage looks, allowing visitors to trace the creative and cultural impact of the brand across decades.

Online, DVF invites customers not only to shop but to contribute. The brand is collecting personal stories and memories from its community, adding a narrative layer to the platform and reinforcing the relationship between personal style and shared history.

The program underscores von Furstenberg’s longstanding message of empowerment through fashion, using storytelling and sustainability as dual entry points into the brand’s identity. “This initiative not only champions circular fashion but also honors DVF’s cultural legacy,” the brand said in a statement, “reinforcing our commitment to storytelling and the enduring power of personal style.”

The launch will be celebrated with an event at the flagship store, co-hosted by Diane von Furstenberg and writer and editor Liana Satenstein.
