Edward Enninful’s EE72 Launches 72 Magazine with Julia Roberts

EE72 will host launch events in New York, London, Milan, and Paris

Julia Roberts has been revealed as the inaugural cover star of 72 Magazine, the first print title from EE72, the newly launched media company founded by Edward and Akua Enninful. The quarterly publication, debuting on September 12, marks the duo’s entry into publishing with global distribution and support from the EE72 digital platform.

Photographed in London by Craig McDean and styled by Elizabeth Stewart, Roberts wears Phoebe Philo and Tiffany & Co. jewelry on the cover. Behind-the-scenes footage featuring Roberts and Edward Enninful will accompany the release.

Positioned between print and digital, 72 Magazine aims to celebrate established icons alongside emerging voices. “Launching with Julia Roberts signals exactly what we’re building: a media company that champions established icons alongside emerging voices,” said Enninful in a press statement.

Editorial director Sarah Harris described Roberts as “the kind of modern woman 72 Magazine celebrates: unfiltered, authentic, and timeless.” Harris shaped the publication’s vision alongside Simone Oliver, EE72’s head of content.

To mark the launch, EE72 will stage events across the international fashion week circuit, beginning in New York on September 12 before moving to London, Milan, and Paris. The New York celebrations include partnerships with Google Shopping and Moncler, while Levi’s will co-host in London. Enninful is also set to sign limited-edition copies of the magazine in both cities.
