Erdem and Barbour Collaboration Launches

Erdem Put a Delicate and Historically Influenced Spin on the Classic Barbour Jacket

The collaboration between Erdem and Barbour, which debuted at Erdem’s Spring 2024 show, has launched on Erdem’s website.

The two brand also joined forces to create a unique piece; inspired by the muse of Erdem’s Spring 2024 collection, Deborah, the late dowager Duchess of Devonshire. Taking the traditional practicalities of a Barbour waxed jacket, Erdem transformed the silhouette into a couture-like exploded trapeze coat with open neckline in sand waxed cotton. The coat is worn with a quilted liner, pieced with chintz curtain remnant material, inspired by archival textiles that once hung at Chatsworth House.

I am so thrilled to have collaborated with Barbour for the first time, a British heritage brand that I have so long admired and worn for many years. My work has always been about creating pieces with a human hand and I felt there was real synergy in our approach to craftsmanship. It was wonderful to collaborate with a brand with such an extraordinary history.”
