A Night of Nostalgia, Style, and Caviar Bumps in New York City
Fendi and Moda Operandi, together with host Lauren Santo Domingo, marked the return of the beloved Fendi Spy Bag with an intimate evening at Chez Fifi in New York. The celebration brought together a handpicked crowd from the fashion, art, and cultural spheres to toast the re-release of one of the house’s most iconic bags.
Originally designed by Silvia Venturini Fendi and first launched in 2005, the Spy Bag became a cult favorite almost instantly. Its name nods to the secretive construction—featuring a hidden compartment tucked beneath the flap, accessible via a cleverly disguised button. This new edition reaffirms Fendi’s commitment to innovation and craftsmanship while honoring the original’s mystique.
“Celebrating the Spy Bag with Fendi here in New York feels so full circle. The spy is a bag I’ve loved forever—it’s iconic, it’s fun, and it’s always been part of my style. I have so many memories with my Fendi family and the original spy, so to be here for this anniversary makes it extra special,” said Lindsay Lohan.
Guests enjoyed a decadent spread of passed hors d’oeuvres, Frites Maison, and cheeky Caviar Bumps—setting the tone for an evening that balanced relaxed glamour with a sense of indulgent fun. Paul Sevigny provided the soundtrack with a DJ set that brought the room to life.
