Review of Fendi Peekaboo Spring 2024 Ad Campaign by Photographer Craig McDean with models Kate Moss and Lila Grace Moss
Fendi celebrates multifaceted personalities and meaningful connections with the new Spring 2024 campaign for its iconic Peekaboo bag. Starring mother-daughter model duo Kate and Lila Grace Moss, the campaign was lensed by photographer Craig McDean.
McDean’s portraits of the duo emphasize a deep personal bond through physical closeness and complementary styling, while still attesting to the individuality of each woman. The accompanying short film deepens the feeling of connection while injecting a bold blast of supermodel energy.
“The Peekaboo wearer is a multifaceted person. They have hidden talents, they choose what they reveal about themselves, and when.”
– Silvia Venturini Fendi, Fendi Creative Director of Accessories and Menswear
The imagery feels straightforwardly striking on its own, but takes on real narrative meaning in connection to the Fendi legacy and the way the house has built up the story of the Peekaboo through the powerful and creative personalities who wear it. Since the Silvia Venturini Fendi-designed handbag first appeared on Karl Lagerfeld’s Fendi catwalk in 2009, it has both remained a steadfast house icon and shape-shifted across many styles and emblematic wearers. In recent years, the brand has made an especially strong push to highlight it with an annual Peekaboo campaign.
Featuring two culture-defining muses who bridge generations and personal styles, this latest chapter is another strong celebration of the talented women who make the Peekaboo all their own.
