Review of Ferragamo ‘Ferragamo in Florence’ 2024 Ad Campaign by Creative Director Ferdinando Verderi and Photographer Juergen Teller with models Peter Saville, Lina Zhang, Raquel Zimmerman, Yasmine Warsame, and Tim Schuhmacher

Ferragamo explores the historic artistry and contemporary faces of Florence with its Fall 2024 campaign. With creative direction from Ferdinando Verderi, the campaign was shot by photographer Juergen Teller.

Along with the cast of distinguished models and returning faces of Ferragamo, perhaps the most striking inclusion among Teller’s subjects is Peter Saville, the legendary graphic designer who designed the house’s new logo – among dozens of other iconic designs from logos to album covers.

Captured at the Galleria Romanelli in a composition that creates a striking sense of depth with its dramatic shift of foreground and background, Saville is almost dwarfed by the myriad neo-Hellenistic sculptures that bloom into the space. Yet through his body language and poise he still commands the center of attention, making for an incredibly dynamic portrait that draws on the tension of art antiquity persisting into contemporary life.
