Ferragamo Ranked Among World’s Most Sustainable Companies

The Fashion House Made Statista and TIME Magazine’s 2024 List of the World’s Most Sustainable Companies

Ferragamo has been recognized as one of the World’s Most Sustainable Companies, a prestigious list compiled by Statista and published by TIME Magazine. This ranking highlights the top 500 companies across more than 30 countries, celebrated for their leadership in corporate social and environmental responsibility. The assessment is based on over 20 sustainability indicators, adherence to international reporting standards, and the achievement of set targets. Notably, Ferragamo is one of only 20 Italian companies to make the list.

This recognition adds to a series of accolades Ferragamo has received in 2024. The company earned a “Score A-” in CDP’s (Carbon Disclosure Project) Climate Change 2023 questionnaire and was included, for the third consecutive year, in the Sustainability Leaders list by Il Sole 24 Ore and Statista. This list identifies the most sustainable Italian companies based on ESG criteria.

Ferragamo’s commitment to sustainability is evident in its 2023 achievements, which include sourcing 92.8 percent of its leather from Leather Working Group-certified tanneries, securing renewable energy guarantees for 82 percent of its energy usage, and significantly reducing single-use plastic in its packaging.

In addition, Ferragamo was reinstated in the MIB ESG Euronext index in March, a prestigious index that highlights the 40 Italian blue-chip companies with the best environmental, social, and governance practices.
