Frame Opens New Store in Malibu

Frame has unveiled its latest retail location in Malibu, marking the brand’s nineteenth store and a continued evolution of its distinct design-driven retail concept. Situated within the newly developed Cross Creek Ranch just off the Pacific Coast Highway, the boutique is a refined tribute to California’s natural beauty and architectural legacy.

The 1,755-square-foot space draws from Malibu’s canyons and coastal tones, bringing together elemental textures and sculptural forms. A central elliptical metal structure anchors the interior, surrounded by vertical brise-soleil-inspired panels that nod to mid-century California modernism. Sandblasted elm, weathered and warm, lends the space an organic elegance, while a linear skylight washes the store in dynamic natural light throughout the day.

Frame’s creative director Erik Torstensson once again partners with interior designer Flora Byk, building on a shared vision seen in previous locations in Scottsdale and New York. This Malibu boutique continues their dialogue between minimalism and materiality, with Torstensson contributing a bespoke metal table and sculptural window piece—both developed through an intersection of AI and artisanal craftsmanship.

The boutique houses a curated selection of Frame’s men’s and women’s ready-to-wear collections, presented in a space that merges architectural precision with a distinctly West Coast mood.

Frame Malibu is now open at 23465 Civic Center Way, Suite 460, with operating hours from 11am to 7pm Monday through Saturday, and 11am to 6pm on Sunday.
