Luxury menswear redefined by François Kress and Davidson Petit-Frère
FRÈRE has officially launched its luxury menswear brand and opened its flagship store in SoHo, led by co-founders François Kress, a seasoned luxury executive, and Davidson Petit-Frère, a renowned designer known for his bespoke tailoring for A-list clientele. The partnership merges Kress’s global expertise with Petit-Frère’s distinctive, made-to-measure approach, aiming to bring craftsmanship into modern menswear.
“When Davidson and I decided to embark on this journey, we knew we wanted to do more than launch another fashion brand,” said Kress. “We set out to create a label that would resonate with the cultural pulse of today while remaining grounded in the craftsmanship and attention to detail that true luxury demands. With our shared vision, we are building a brand that reflects a new era in menswear.”
Bringing decades of industry leadership at brands like LVMH, Bulgari, Prada, The Row, and Carolina Herrera, Kress provides FRÈRE with a strategic edge. Meanwhile, Petit-Frère’s designs, favored by high-profile clients like John Legend and Tim Cook, reflect the brand’s commitment to quality and creativity. “François and I connected over our mutual passion for quality and innovation. We saw the chance to bring something fresh to the market. Together, we’re not just launching a company; we’re shaping a new chapter in menswear,” he added.
Supported by prestigious investors, including Robert Nelsen of Arch Venture Partners, FRÈRE is poised to redefine luxury menswear by blending tradition with contemporary relevance. Located at 138 Wooster Street, the flagship store showcases FRÈRE’s debut collection, featuring ready-to-wear suiting, knitwear, outerwear, and other essentials, and honors Petit-Frère’s Haitian heritage with symbolic design elements like the hibiscus.
The full collection, embodying FRÈRE’s vision for versatile, elevated menswear, will be available in-store and online at frereny.com starting in December.
