Brand’s First Sustainable Sneaker Returns in Expanded Palette
Gabriela Hearst is expanding its sustainable footwear offering with the release of six new colorways of its Ohio sneaker. First introduced on the Spring/Summer 2025 runway, the Ohio reflects the brand’s commitment to craftsmanship and environmental responsibility.
Made in Italy, the Ohio combines high-end design with conscious material choices. Its rubber sole incorporates 30% recycled content, while the stitching uses 30% recycled polyester certified by the Global Recycled Standard. The interior elastic ribbon is made from a mix of recycled polyester and natural rubber, and water-based glue—free of polyurethane—is used for assembly. All leather used is sourced from a tannery certified by the Leather Working Group.
Signature leather laces and a refined slip-on construction add texture and sophistication to the minimalist silhouette. New color options include Cobalt, Antelope Orange, Burnt Sienna, Golden Birch, Charcoal, and Black Nabuk.
The expanded Ohio sneaker line will be available beginning June 2025 at Gabriela Hearst’s New York, Beverly Hills, London, and Tokyo boutiques, as well as online at gabrielahearst.com.
