Review of Ganni Fall 2025 Ad Campaign by Photographer Mark Kean with models Toxe, True Blue, Charlie Osborne, Ren G, Crystal Murray, and Lauren Auder

In a campaign that’s part sonic reverie, part sculptural fashion manifesto, Ganni’s Fall 2025 effort amplifies the brand’s penchant for playful maximalism through a curated cast of rising music artists: Toxe, True Blue, Charlie Osborne, Ren G, Crystal Murray, and Lauren Auder. Photographed by Mark Kean and styled by Vanessa Reid, the visuals oscillate dramatically between bold, color-saturated moments and intimate, monochrome studies. It’s a celebration of self-expression and confident eclecticism—with a soundtrack you can practically feel.
There’s something delightfully off-kilter about the campaign’s minimal sets: blank backdrops that feel almost cerebral. Against them, the clothes don’t just register—they thrum. Sculptural silhouettes, rich textures, and clashing prints feel amplified by the absence of environment. In bursts of emotion, the models dance, flick their hair, air-guitar (and—novelty!—air-piano), embodying the electric force of music in motion. Deciding to rely on body and attitude over scene-setting feels like a smart nod to Ganni’s fearless identity.

That said, the decision to obscure the artists’ musical identities behind fashion veneer feels like a missed opportunity. Engaging more with who they are—not just how they look—could have added compelling layers to the story. A quick introduction, a snippet of their sound, a line about their sonic signature—any small touch would ground the visuals in authentic artistry, not just aesthetic.
Still, spotlighting Crystal Murray, for example, brings an exciting dimension. The Paris-born singer-songwriter, now signed to Because Music, has rapidly carved out a genre-defying niche from alt-pop to neo-soul, even launching her own label, Spin Desire, and hosting immersive nightlife events in Paris . Her presence resonates with Ganni’s bold eccentricity, and yet the campaign leaves her voice untapped.
Equally compelling is Lauren Auder, whose baroque-pop sensibilities and production roots reflect a cinematic emotionality. British-French, raised between Albi and London, Auder’s music—cinematic, orchestral, boundary-pushing—aligns beautifully with Ganni’s maximalist sensibility . Yet, again, the campaign’s visuals feel like just a snapshot—not a conversation.

Ren G, Charlie Osborne, Toxe, and True Blue are tantalizingly unnamed within the campaign narrative—no bios, no context. It’s like hearing an intriguing bassline and never learning the song.
All that said, Ganni’s unapologetic embrace of fashion-as-performance remains its strength—imperfect, electric, memorable. The introduction of the Kat Bag, a sculptural shoulder piece handcrafted in soft recycled leather, is a standout detail that aligns form, function, and ’90s nonchalance. Its relaxed ease and bold proportions offer a sly wink to everyday rebellion.
In summary: This campaign rocks—both literally and figuratively. It’s a confident beat in Ganni’s ongoing anthem of self-expression. With more voices, it could have become an unforgettable chorus.
