Collaboration focuses on cross-generational style and sport-inspired design
Gap has announced a limited-edition collaboration with Malbon Golf, set to launch on Friday, June 6 at 12 p.m. ET / 9 a.m. PT. The 33-piece collection for men and women blends golf culture with prep-focused apparel drawn from Gap’s design archives.
The partnership incorporates Malbon’s golf aesthetic into Gap’s established wardrobe staples, producing pieces that can be worn both on and off the course. The release is part of a broader campaign celebrating style across generations.
“Malbon has fostered a vibrant culture around the game of golf, allowing us to engage a new customer and bring together our two communities in a fresh way,” said Mark Breitbard, President and CEO of Gap brand. “Our collaboration with Malbon represents the unique intersection of fashion, sports, and culture, offering a new opportunity for self-expression, on or off the golf course, through the lens of beloved Gap icons.”
Malbon Golf was founded in 2017 by Stephen and Erica Malbon with the goal of making the game accessible to a wider audience. The company emphasizes community and inclusivity within golf culture. According to the Malbons, the collaboration offered an opportunity to connect that philosophy with Gap’s history.
“We grew up with Gap, so the opportunity to collaborate and bridge golf culture with Gap’s heritage is incredibly exciting,” said Erica and Stephen Malbon. “Gap defines what an American brand can look like — it’s where fashion and functionality collide — so we are thrilled that each and every piece reflects, authentically, the DNA of both brands.”
The campaign for the capsule, titled Generation Golf, was photographed by Duncan Wolfe. It features professional golfer and five-time PGA Tour winner Jesper Parnevik alongside his children Peg and Phoenix Parnevik, chosen for their connection to sport and personal style.
The full collection features items with performance-minded details and reimagined Gap branding. A custom PAR logo appears on fleece pieces, knitwear, and accessories, referencing the Gap arch logo with a golf-specific twist. Additional design elements include traditional patterns such as stripes, plaid, and herringbone.
The Gap × Malbon collection will be available through select retail locations and online starting June 6.
