Review of Giada ‘Leisure’ Spring 2025 Ad Campaign by Creative Director Gabriele Colangelo and Photographer Alberto Polo Iañez with model Sara Blomqvist
Giada’s Spring/Summer 2025 Leisure Collection campaign is a quiet study in elegance, serenity, and restraint. Designer Gabriele Colangelo collaborates with photographer Alberto Polo Iañez to craft a meditative visual story, one that leans into Giada’s consistent commitment to purity of form and understated luxury. Model Sara Blomqvist inhabits the collection’s world with a poised calm, captured barefoot on rustic wood floors, in sun-dappled gardens, and mid-step through open fields. Whether posed against terracotta walls or resting beside a white horse, her presence mirrors the collection’s ethos: minimal yet deeply expressive.
The collection itself foregrounds fluid tailoring and lightness. Soft layers of sheer white, perforated coats, sculptural halters, and color-faded pleated skirts move easily between indoor solitude and pastoral openness. There’s a palpable sense of quiet motion throughout the campaign—fabric drifting, shadow shifting—that complements the season’s concept of “leisure” as emotional ease rather than luxury escapism. The palette is limited but rich in texture, emphasizing Giada’s careful material selection and precision cuts. While the campaign’s whisper-soft tone is captivating, it borders on too subtle at times, potentially blending into the white noise of minimalist fashion imagery without a clear disruptive element.
Still, Giada doesn’t attempt to shout. Instead, it lingers. The campaign feels less like an ad than a mood—one that rewards stillness, contemplation, and the gentle rhythm of being at ease in one’s own skin.
